EPIP 2016 Poster Session

For those participants that are presenting a poster at EPIP 2016, please find below further information in regards to the purpose of the poster, tips on creating your poster and the formatting details of printing your poster.

Attendees will be required to submit their poster in printed format at the registration desk on Saturday 3rd September 2016 at 4.30pm. The posters will then be put on display on panels for all attendees to view during the conference.

The Poster:

As a visual presentation of your research, some distinct techniques are required to ensure the main idea/title is clearly readable from a distance of 2 -3 metres.

For the EPIP posters, the required format is:

  • Size: A0 – ie: 84cm x 119cm
  • Suggested max word count – 300 – 500 words
  • Orientation – Portrait

Below are some simple guides, and your own institutions will have similar resources.

Venue and Presentation Times:

We are scheduling the academic poster presentations during the three conference morning and afternoon tea breaks on the Sunday 4th and Monday 5th September in the Pichette Auditorium Foyer/Farthings Café area where conference delegates will be convening after sessions.

The poster session times are:

Sunday 4th September

  • 10.30am – 10.50am
  • 16.15pm – 16.35pm

Monday 5th September

  • 10.10am – 10.40am

We have allocated 4-5 mins x 12 times, so that you all have an opportunity to do a short introduction of yourself, research focus, methods and findings. A copy of your abstract will also be published in the program.

Marian Schoen will be there to facilitate the sessions, and given the tight time-frames, I would appreciate if you could endeavor to arrive promptly for the start of each break so we can begin as soon as delegates come to the venue from prior sessions.
